Easter

For Easter we had dinner with our friends Brittany and Ryan! We made a ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, and some rolls! We also had a salad. And we made brownies for dessert! It was all very yummy and we had a good time!

Happy Birthday to Me :)

My birthday was on the 15th! Anthon and I tried to make this Blackout Chocolate Cake recipe that we got from his mom but it didn't really work out. It sunk in the middle :( So instead of finishing the cake I made a trifle. We layered the cake with chocolate pudding and crushed Oreos! Then we put some cool whip on top! It was really yummy! But we didn't eat it until the next day because that is when we celebrated with some of our friends. We went to Red Robin for dinner (if you join on their website they send you a free burger coupon for your birthday) and then had the yummy trifle for dessert. Anthon got me some really cool stuff for my birthday!

Moving!!!

Back in November we got a call from the manager of Temple View Apartments about a possibility of getting a two-bedroom apartment. We had been put on a waiting list last summer and had forgotten about it. There was one person ahead of us but they wanted us to think about it in case the other couple didn't want it. Well in the week or two we were waiting to hear back we got really excited and wanted to move. Then we got the news that the other couple took it. So we were moved up to the first spot on the waiting list.

When we called the manager in February to see if anything was going to become available in April they said that no one was planning on moving out but that they had just started to build a new building and that it should be done in the begging of May. We were getting really tired of our manager we have now about not fixing things and the crappy internet we have been waiting to get upgraded since September and were really excited at the thought of getting out of here. Then they called us and told us that the apartments were not going to be done until June or July :(

On last Friday we got an extension for our lease and decided not to sign it and return it right away because we thought that since our manager is slow then we would be slow at giving it back! Today we got an e-mail from the manager at Temple View that said that they have an apartment available for us to move into. We responded saying that we wanted it. Then we read an e-mail from them that said they sent that other e-mail to the other people on the waiting list and that the first people to respond would get it. Anthon then called the manager up and we got it!!! We will be moving on the 22nd and can't wait!!! We are so excited to have cheaper rent, way better internet, be closer to the school, and have a new apartment (new appliances and carpet)!!!
